The international science and media festival SILBERSALZ²² took place in Halle (Saale) from 15 June to 19 June 2022. On 17 and 18 June, the Barkhausen Institut offered the opportunity to participate in an escape room game about data protection and data security.

In the escape room, Dr Data threatened to plunge the world into chaos. In a small team, participants had 60 minutes to solve various encryption methods and puzzles.

The SILBERSALZ festival brings science and media to life with films, discussions and walk-in installations – both as an international festival for the public and as a conference for experts from research, film and the media industry.
