SPIN2023

The launch event for SPIN2030 took place on 3 February 2023 at the Kongresshalle am Zoo in Leipzig.

At the event, Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer and the then Minister of State Sebastian Gemkow presented the agenda for Saxony as a center of science. Afterwards, selected exhibitors from all over the Free State presented interesting scientific developments from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. The Barkhausen Institut was also represented and presented its robot air hockey. Around 80 visitors were able to discover in a playful way what latency is and why it is a key characteristic of the reliability of the Internet of Things.

SPIN2030 is a campaign launched in 2023 for Saxony as a center of science with the aim of increasing the visibility of Saxony's broad university, research and science landscape beyond the borders of Saxony. Funding was provided by the Free State of Saxony.
