On February 3, 2023, the launch event for SPIN2030 will take place at the conference center Kongresshalle am Zoo Leipzig.

Barkhausen Institut will present itself at the science fair and showcase its robotic Airhockey. Visitors can playfully discover what latency is and why it is a central feature of the reliability of the Internet of Things. The game shows that the new 5G communication standard can reach latencies of a few milliseconds. In the game against a robot, the mobile communication standards 3G, 4G and 5G can be selected. Depending on the setting, the robot reacts at different speeds.

In the upcoming years, Saxony's science landscape will take the next major steps in its development. With the Agenda SPIN2030, the Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur und Tourismus (Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism) supports the universities and research institutions on this journey.

At a kick-off event on February 3, 2023, Minister-President Michael Kretschmer and Minister of State Sebastian Gemkow will present the agenda for the Wissenschaftsland Sachsen (Science State Saxony). Afterwards, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., selected exhibitors from all over the Free State of Saxony will showcase interesting scientific developments at a science fair at Kongresshalle am Zoo Leipzig. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the BI will also be present at the room Großer Saal of Kongresshalle.
