BI Research Fellows are renowned professors who support the research mission and vision of the BI. They collaborate with the individual research groups of the BI, provide strategic recommendations, and act as ambassadors of the BI research mission.

Prof. Meyr is actively involved in the experimental verification and refinement of the extended Kalman filter (EKF) for non-linear systems, particularly in addressing imperfections such as sensor biases through mathematical modeling and experimental validation. Additionally, he collaborates with the Mobility Center Aachen on research tasks and conducts test flights using the EKF to evaluate airfoil performance, with a focus on obtaining accurate results at low expenses.
