Panel Discussion on Data Security and Data Protection now on YouTube
On May 24, 2022, our colleague Stefan Köpsell participated at the panel discussion "Data, Law and Consumer Protection in the Digital Society" at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden. His discussion partners were political scientist Dr. Henriette Litta and lawyer Dr. Anne-Sophie Landwers. Journalist Kolja Schwartz moderated the panel discussion.
The event could also be followed via livestream and is now available online for viewing.
The panel addressed the question of why data is such an important resource today. Who uses data, and to what ends? What is the legal framework for data protection and data security? How is open data different from personal data? Should we withhold data, or rather release it to enable meaningful use? Where is data collected, and how can we retain control over it?
Following the expert discussion, the audience was invited to ask the experts questions on the spot.
