Last week, the exhibition “Dr. Future – Medical Technology from Dresden science” was officially opened at the COSMO Science Forum. Approximately 70 invited guests attended the event to celebrate the launch of this significant presentation of current medical technology research.

Prof. Gerhard Fettweis, Founder and CEO of the Barkhausen Institute, and Tiphaine Cattiau, Project Manager of the exhibition, welcomed the attendees with their opening speeches. They highlighted the importance of science communication and emphasized how crucial it is to make research findings accessible to a broad audience and to foster dialogue between science and society. They also underscored the close collaboration among the many participating research institutions, which made this exhibition possible.

Following the speeches, guests had the opportunity to explore the interactive exhibits of the exhibition for the first time and to engage directly with the attending researchers about their work. The positive feedback and high level of interest in the presented projects demonstrated the relevance of these research topics and the wide public interest they have generated.

The Barkhausen Institute extends its heartfelt thanks to all partners and contributors who helped make the opening event a success. From October 1 to February 28, 2025, this exhibition will offer the public a unique insight into the medical technology of the future.
