Winter break workshops for students
Discover medical technology during the winter holidays
To mark the current ‘Dr Future’ exhibition at the COSMO Science Forum, the Barkhausen Institut is organising two workshops on medical technology for schoolchildren. These events are designed to help children and young people learn more about scientific topics.

In the workshop ‘Secret Heartbeat’, participants aged 10 and over assemble a stethoscope and can listen to their own heartbeat in various situations. The workshop explains how technology can reveal information about our health. The pupils also play a game together to learn how to protect their personal health data and about the different encryption methods used for this purpose.

In the workshop ‘Controlling robots with your body’, young people aged 15 and over can control a robot arm using simple body movements. They will learn how sensors work in medical technology and what they are used for.
