Thanks to animations and clear messages explanation movies are a great format for science communication.
Cultural management students at HTW Saar and scientists at the Barkhausen Instituts have worked together to create such videos about the connection between culture and IoT.  The explanatory movies answer questions such as "What opportunities does IoT offer for the cultural sector?" or "To what extent can socially relevant topics such as ethics and sustainability be incorporated in the process?". Thus they look at the broad field of connected things with the view of creative workers in the cultural sector.

Under the slogan Future starts now - IoT meets culture, the online movie premiere will take place on July 14 at 6 p.m. via YouTube under that link.

The project was created as part of the anniversary initiative "Wirkung hoch 100" of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. (Donors' Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany).
