Andrey Ruzhanskiy, research associate and PhD student at Barkhausen Institut, was awarded the Dresden Excellence Award by Mayor Dirk Hilbert on 19 March 2022. The jury selected his diploma thesis, titled Investigations on the enforceability of the protection goal availability in 5G networks considering non-trusted manufacturers of 5G components, from numerous applications, as it meets the central criteria of the science award in a particularly outstanding way: relevance for research as well as future orientation for the development of Dresden’s urban society.

With this award, the state capital Dresden and the network “Dresden – City of Science” annually honor scientists for their excellent research and final theses.
